Bugtour 3 : every cloud has a silver lining

Last Sunday Bugtour 3 was on a roll, too bad the day started of with some cold showers, courtesy of good old Mr. Belgian Weather. But that couldn't spoil our fun at all. And by the end of the day a healthy dose of sunrays made it all better.

By midday we all parked at a restaurant near Munte, imagine the sides of the road laced with lookers, well some of the cars were. Take the Red Ragtop in front, a real Cal Looker of recent volksword show fame, and we just made him drive trough horrendous downpours on bumpy gravelroads, sucking dust trough his 48 IDA's. It takes a man, or a fool, to whip his cars tail like this.

We rode along a nice scenic route prepared for us by Dave and Ollie, and we passed a few castles along the way. You see apart from equally nice cars we also have a lot more history compared to our Cross-Atlantic Brethren in arms. This is the driveway of the Castle of Ooidonk filled with Original German Steel.

And we finished off in style. At the Hof ten Boeket, yet another nice old castle near Ghent, we had ourselves a little BBQ accompagnied with ice cooled drinks.

For more and nicer Pics of all the cars, visit : DVF, VW1500S, Kobus, the Belgische Keverclub, Flatliners and fototreffen.
