If so many people are making hard money of importing old Volkswagen cars. Then why not, for the fun of it, go get them yourself. At least that's my point of view. I get to drive a car, float a boat, and even fly a plane just to return with a piece of ancient history, driving it some 200 Mil. And all this without even breaking the bank! I just have to dedicate my time and efforts to the cause.
And this is what "Wimme" has been specialising in lately : Oldspeed engines. First he's had to rebuild a Porsche 356 engine. And now his in the process of building a "PiedMoulé", too bad not with a powerboosting Judson. But I bet a Riechert kit will suffice for a slow turtle like Turtle.
