Amsterdamned

While surfing the net on the lookout for some people to help the Irish out in Amsterdam, I stumbled upon this vintage shot of the canals. This would be back in 56, where the firemen are more than busy pushing and pulling a drawned Bug. I'm not sure what they plan to do when they beach it, because a rope and a stick, I don't know, might be time to get out the crane.

This is probably the interior shot of the same car. Typical Dutch use of the budvase, it might explain how it ended up in the canal in the first place.
